The Friends of the Somerville Public Library was founded in 2011 to support the library and the library’s Board of Directors in raising funds for the library.

The Friends of the Library continues today with the Friends Book Sale, open during library hours with gently used books, magazines, movies, etc. at a great price. Items range in price from $.25 to $2.00. The Friends also hold other special fundraising events throughout the year such as bake sales and 1/2 price book sales. All money goes back to the library to help purchase much needed items.

The library will gladly accept donations on behalf of the Friends anytime during library hours.
